During the last three years Paul has been researching and developing wood fired kilns and salt glazing, an interest he started at Harrow School of Art in the 70s. June 2008 saw the first firing of his own kiln. In his own words:

“It was very exciting and scary as it represents a seismic shift in both the way I work and the emotions behind it. I was delighted with the group of pots that emerged, particularly an extension of the Wave Series and the newly designed group of rocking vases and jugs. Most wonderful was the surprise the Nude Series gave me. I shall now be exhibiting these along side the earthernware group at my forthcoming shows.”
